Overview
This project focused on transforming an outdoor grass area of a rental home, into a family paved entertaining area within four days.
Project details:
The Tweed Heads home was chosen for the project to showcase a property with an ordinary backyard that would benefit from little landscaping work and not too much excavation. The landscape plan was designed by Jason Hodges and built by Muller Landscaping. All pavers, garden edging and retaining wall blocks were provided by Adbri Masonry.
Brittany McMurray took care of the before and after photography, while Hired Goons were contracted to video the process. The project was completed just in time for Spring, resulting in the footage captured by Hired Goons being used for Adbri Masonry’s 2021 Spring Campaign video.
Although a fantastic renovation and quality promotional video came out of this project, there were some pandemic related issues. The filming and renovation were initially due to take place in the first week of August 2021. However, with the property just over the border in NSW and the landscapers and film crew in Queensland this was delayed by a week. Fortunately, all those involved were flexible and rallied the next week when border restrictions eased.
Muller Landscaping did a fantastic team effort in getting stuck in and completed the project in just three days, which turned out lucky as the borders were restricted again the following week. Even with the delay, the Hired Goons production team managed to turn around two quality, inspirational videos to show how drastically a backyard can be improved.
