Water Conservation Methods in Manufacturing Pavers and Concrete Blocks

Adbri Masonry’s Beenleigh based plant manufactures pavers and concrete block. The management and staff of Adbri Masonry have come p with ways to help conserve water in the manufacturing process. Adbri Masonry collect all rain water from the roof of the plant andkeep it in two 10,000 litre rain water tanks for later use.

Adbri Masonry have also implemented a system to collect the water runoff from the kilns used to cure concrete blocks and transfer thatwater back into the concrete mixers. Different blocks and pavers which are manufactured by Adbri Masonry, generate a lot of steam thatcondenses into water, which is then also collected and recycled.

This initiative has resulted in over 2 million litres of recycled water being reused in 2008 alone. Download the PDF below for the full story.
