Alpine resort

Mount Hotham in the alpine region of Victoria has undergone an exciting transformation with a brand new ultra cool village constructed high up in the mountains.  The new Mount Hotham will cater to the increasing number of discerning visitors seeking stylish winter snow, weekend breaks and relaxing summer holidays.

The creators of Moritz Mt Hotham wanted contemporary authentic looking stone walls for their new ‘resort' style development and found the solution in Eldorado Stone's Country Rubble.  In order to match the natural rock in the area a blend of 80% in Tuscany and 20% in Serrano was used to construct Moritz Mt Hotham, the first new residential building to be completed.

A total of 350 m² of Country Rubble stones and cornerstones were used to complete this project.  The decision to use reconstituted Country Rubble was simple - it matched the local natural rock, was quicker, cheaper and safer to install and more importantly did not impact on the natural environment in the area.
